A fresh, invigorating infusion of hesperidia and rustic accord underpinned by a slightly floral, spicy woody harmony over an amber and vanilla base. A fragrance for seductive men who embody a spirit of delicacy and a love of simple, high-quality raw materials. Top notes include lavender, bergamot, petit grain, orange, and neroli over middle notes of jasmine, clary sage, ylang-ylang, warm spices, myrrh, and lavender absolute. Base notes of vanilla, tonka bean, amber, precious wood, and orris melt away effortlessly.
The Parfums d'Orsay get their name from Count Gabriel Alfred Guillaume d'Orsay, the son of a baroness and a general in Napoleon's Empire. The Chevalier d'Orsay's genteel upbringing among literary and political stars of the time informed his lifelong appreciation of beauty and elegance, with his natural affectation, provocative style, and sense of refinement marking him as a dandy and a trendsetter for the times. A multi-talented artist, the Chevalier created his first fragrances out of love in 1830. His uncanny ability to draw out delicate fragrances with his sensitive chemist's nose made for popular perfumes created with skillful formulas that remain carefully preserved to this day. After his death in 1852, his family preserved his legacy with the Compagnie Francaise des Parfums d'Orsay, which continues its tradition of developing remarkable fragrances for the luxury market to this day. 50 ml.
