SOLD! The F.A. Smith Mfg. Company of Rochester, New York began business in 1911. This company made after market "add on" parts for the new horseless carriages- later known as automobiles. The F. A. Smith Mfg. Company began producing flower vases such as this one that hung from the interior door section and many other accessories that were not standard items on automobiles of the period. This fine specimen sports bracket indicative of the Arts and Crafts era as well and angular floral etching on the glass itself. The piece suffers from a crack near the bracket which in no way inhibits its ability as a vase.
This is a magnificent example of automobile history as well as a stunning addition to any wall space.
