Made of hand-blown glass with a slightly wider mouth than the Ibis, this decanter is used to decant white wines and mature red wines with complex aromas. Its glass stopper prevents overexposure to the air. Capacity is appropriate for a standard 750ml bottle of wine.

Why should you use a decanter?  A decanter provides the ideal environment for a wine to reveal the subtle details of its color and the diversity of its aromatic palette, one that will refine the wine's taste to enable the full expression of its intensity.  As well as being an object d'art, the decanter should also be a functional tool, designed specifically to accentuate all the pleasures that wine tasting has to offer. 

A little extra info about your wine: A red wine that has been allowed to fully mature in its bottle is decanted to separate any sediment that has formed in the wine.  The complexity and fullness that has developed over time must remain intact for the taster.  The decanting process is a gentle one and requires a decanter shape that will not overexpose the air to oxygen.

Due to their fairly fragile nature, white wines should be handled with great care.  Gently swirling them will refine their aromatic purity whilst at the same time preserving their freshness.
