This petite vintage silver teapot hails from the Spaulding Hotel of Michigan City, Indiana. Completed in 1922, the Spaulding was an 8-story, 150-room hotel located at Seventh and Franklin Ave. It was the heart of activity for Michigan City, hosting the Miss Indiana Pageant, before it closed its doors in 1966. A rare throwback to a more genteel era, this personal teapot would make a great curiosity for your home...working as a teapot, pitcher, petite vase, or simply an unique piece of decor. Approximately 5.5" high. From spout to handle, this beauty is about 7". Bottom is stamped: "Stolen from the Spaulding. Albert Pick and Company of Bridgeport, Inc. Nickel silver. Silver soldered. 10 oz."
