The Emerson Pewter Rimmed line, new for 2011, offers a simple and sophisticated compliment to the original Pewter Collection, incorporating Juliska's traditional whitewash tone to add just a hint of contrast to any table setting.  Juliska's pewter-glazed stoneware has an old-world luster than conjures up visions of grand European estates.  The unique glazing technique gives each piece an original, handmade feel reminiscent of authentic hammered pewter pieces.  Juliska's ground-breaking metallic glaze allows for the collection to be as durable and functional as their other exceptional lines:  each piece is dishwasher, microwave, freezer, and oven safe up to 500 degrees.  The pieces can even go from oven to freezer if need be!  Made of chip-resistant ironstone, the pieces are as functional as they are beautiful.  The Pewter Collection makes a striking statement on its own, just as it does mixing in with more traditional collections to add a touch of contemporary edge.
